P. Sainath is an Indian columnist and the founder editor of People’s Archive of Rural India. He was the first reporter in the world to win Amnesty International`s Global Human Rights Journalism Prize. He has won over 60 global and national awards including the Ramon Magsaysay Award, Ramnath Goenka `Journalist of the Year` award and the European Commission’s Lorenzo Natali Prize. He is also the author of notable works like, Everybody Loves a Good Drought, Last Heroes: Foot Soldiers of Indian Freedom and the recently released Unknown Heroes of India’s Freedom Struggle. His book, Everybody Loves A Good Drought is in its 60th print.
