KR Meera
K R Meera is a novelist and short story writer. She has published over a dozen books, including novels, novellas, short-story collections, essays, and children’s literature. Her recent books include Qabar and Ghatakan. She has won many awards, including the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, the Odakkuzhal Award, the Vayalar Award, and the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award. Her much-acclaimed novel, Aarachaar, was translated into English as Hangwoman, published by Penguin Random House, and was shortlisted for the 2016 DSC Prize for South Asian Literature. Her other works in translation include The Poison of Love, The Unseeing Idol of Light, Yellow is the Colour of Longing, The Gospel of Yudas, Qabar, and Jezebel.
