K S Madhavan is a Dalit thinker and public intellectual. He is a Professor of History at the University of Calicut. He focuses on premodern Kerala history, social theory, and the intersectional histories of gender and caste. Madhavan is the co-editor of the book, Explorations in South Indian History (with M. P. Mujeebu Rahman).
