K S Venkitachalam is a renowned translator and critic from Kerala. He has translated 31 books into Malayalam, and his prominent Malayalam translations are "Kamba Ramayanam" of Kambar, "Agraharathile Poocha" of Jayakanthan, "Theranjedutha Kathakal" of Perumal Murugan, and "Aaraanu Njaan" of Ramana Maharshi. Venkitachalam is a recipient of the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award and the Nalli Thisai Ettum Award, both in 2017.
