Veerankutty is a poet and children’s writer. Mindaprani, his anthology, was selected for the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Poetry in 2017. Jalabhoopadam, Manthrikan, Nissabdathayude Republic, Autograph, and Always in Bloom are some of his poetry collections. His poems have been translated into a number of languages and used as academic texts at a number of universities.
