K Venu, is an author, social commentator, and activist. He was a former leader of India`s Naxalite Movement. He was imprisoned from 1970 to 1975 and again during the Emergency. His notable works are Prapanchavum Manushyanum, Oru Janadhipathyavadiyude Veenduvicharangal and Oranweshanathinte Katha, is his autobiography. He now contributes to newspaper and magazine columns.
