E P Rajagopalan is a notable critic and dramatist. Swapnavum Chariithravum, Prathyaksham, Mindattangal, Lokathinte Vikk, Kavithayude Gramangal, and Aalukalude Vazhikal are among his major works. He has co-authored the plays Udambadikkolam and Kelu with N. Sasidharan. He has received the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award.
