Santhosh Aechikkanam is a Sahitya Akademi-winning short story writer and screenwriter. His notable works are Komala, Biriyani, Shwasam, and Naranayum Paravayayum. Echikkanam wrote the screenplays for Rani (Aanum Pennum, anthology), Aby, Annayum Rasoolum, and Chandrettan Evideya. Some of his other well-known works are Ottavathil, Oru Chithrakathayile Nayattukar, and Pakal Swapnathil Veyilu Kaayaan Vanna Oru Nari.
