VR Sudheesh is an author who hails from Vadakara. He has been a notable presence in Malayalam fiction for over four decades. He has won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for his collection of short stories Bhavanabhedanam and his children's literary work Kurukkan maashinte school. He has published over fifty works. A recipient of the Thoppil Ravi Award and the Ayanam-CV Sriraman Award, VR Sudheesh's collections of short stories are included in the syllabus of various universities. His main works are Pranayapadangal, Maya and Alliyampalkkadavu.
