Khadeeja Mumthas is a short story writer, novelist, and essayist. Her second novel, Barsa, won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 2010. Her prominent works include, Athmatheerthangalil Munginivarnnu, Athuram, and Doctor Daivamalla (memoir). She also writes columns for magazines.
