Vinoy Thomas is a short story writer, novelist and scriptwriter. Ramachi, Mullaranjanam and Adiyormisiha Enna Novel are his famous short story collections. Karikkottakkary, his debut novel, was chosen as one of the top five novels in the DC Books competition. In 2021, his second novel, Puttu, won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award, and in 2019 Ramachi received the same award for short stories. His short stories have been adapted into films, and he wrote screenplays for Palthu Janwar and Chathuram. Anthill, the English translation of Puttu, was recently published by Penguin Random House.
