K M Bharathan is an academician and author. He is the State Committee member of the Malayala Aikyavedi, Secretary Correspondent of the Folklore Society of South Indian Languages, and Secretary of the Folklore Fellows of Malabar Trust. His works include Folklore Sidhanthavum Prayogavum, Samooham Samskaram Nagarikatha, and Nattusamskrithiyude Nadavazhikal. He has also edited volumes.
