B Sandhya is an officer of the Indian Police Service and currently serves as the Director General, Kerala Fire and Rescue Services, Home Guard, & Civil Defence. She is also a poet, novelist, and children’s writer. Her prominent works include Neelakkoduvelitude Kavalkkari, Thiranjedutha Kavithakal, and Tharattu (children’s literature). She has received the Edasseri Award and the Kunjunni Puraskaram.
