Moments of Timeless Memory
The session began by highlighting a memory. Yoko says it is only through memory that a person is understood unless one understands the person`s character and how that person lived in the past. In "Memory Police," Yoko Ogawa says, "memories are what we are, and memories create our identity."
She advanced by saying that throughout her novel, "R" represents reclamation, where she describes the importance of resistance and rebellion. And she also talked about how she came to the writing field and overcame difficult situations in life. For her, writing is a form of discourse.
