When Saudi Arabia extended citizenship to robot named ‘Sophie’ has triggered many debates and doubts and even excitement throughout the world. Stephen Hawking’s warning to stay away from AI is also seen to be a debating subject. The third edition of Kerala Literature Festival discussed the subject in a session with the participants like Dr. B Eqbal, Anwar Sadath, Damodar Prasad, Sunil Thomas and Rafeeq Ibrahim under the title ‘As Robots become Citizens’.
